For millions of children across Central Asia, education is not a given. It is a daily struggle against poverty, isolation, and conservative cultural norms. In communities where schools are few, teachers are scarce, and families face constant hardship, a chance to learn can feel impossibly out of reach.
Central Asia Institute helps children and families overcome these obstacles by offering educational programs to students of all ages, from preschool through adulthood.
We furnish students with essentials like uniforms, books, and school supplies. We offer tutoring in subjects like English, math, and computer science, as well as college preparatory courses and scholarships for advanced education. We also offer in-home expedited learning programs. These accelerated courses help get children and women who were forced to drop out of school, or who missed out on education altogether, back on track.
While we believe firmly in education for all, women and girls are at the heart of our mission. When a girl learns, her entire community benefits. Educated women are more likely to earn an income, improve their families’ health, and advocate for their children’s futures. They strengthen economies, challenge inequality, and help enact lasting change.
