When you donate to Central Asia Institute, your gift helps women and men, boys and girls across Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan access education, hone new skills, and seize the chance for a better tomorrow. Big or small, every donation counts.
CAI’s monthly sustainers automatically become members of our Base Camp Society.
One of the most impactful ways to make a difference is through a monthly giving commitment. Your donation helps to strengthen and sustain the day-to-day work of CAI enabling us to both plan for the future and react in real-time to circumstances that could impede the delivery of educational opportunities for the communities we serve.
Mountaineers always seek the next challenge, often climbing technically difficult rock faces that require stamina and determination. Just like CAI’s donors, they are guided by the strength of their mission.
We invite you to join CAI’s Mountaineer Society today.

CAI’s Summit Circle recognizes the generosity of individuals and families contributing at the highest levels of personal giving. Summit Circle members affirm their deep level of commitment to CAI and its mission by contributing an annual gift of at least $5,000, establishing themselves as true philanthropic leaders, paving the way for our work to improve access to education, increase financial stability, and build vibrant and equitable communities in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan.

There are many ways to satisfy your charitable gift goals. As you plan your giving, you will be addressing your own financial future and that of your family, loved ones, and charitable interests. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how your estate gift can play a transformational role in CAI’s mission and perpetuate your personal values for generations to come.

A donor advised fund is a type of giving program administered by a third-party sponsoring organization (e.g., the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund, and the Schwab Charitable Fund) that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite charities. Created for managing charitable donations on behalf of an organization, family, or individual, DAFs are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.
Donors can make gifts of cash, stock, and other assets to the DAF. The donor receives an immediate tax deduction when the contribution is made. However, distributions from the DAF are not required immediately. Donors may take time to research and select grants of specified amounts to the charities of their choice before advising their DAF administrator to make a gift.
You can also choose to have any remaining DAF funds distributed to CAI after your lifetime by naming CAI as a beneficiary of all or a portion of remaining funds.

“I am moved by the work of the Central Asia Institute and love contributing [to educating] girls in the remotest areas. I have a passion for learning and want to give these girls an opportunity to indulge in that passion. How many lights can we spark? Opportunity will make that happen. Thank you for all you do.” – Lindy, donor since 2009
