Women’s Enrepreneurship

From Learning to Leading

In the regions where we work, women have long carried the weight of their families’ wellbeing without the economic power to shape their own futures. Despite working just as hard as the men in their families, most never receive pay for their labor. The result is a cycle of dependency that limits opportunity and stifles potential.

CAI is creating pathways for women to learn, earn, and lead by investing in women’s entrepreneurship. Through our vocational training and financial literacy, courses, women gain the knowledge, confidence, and tools to build their own businesses and livelihoods.

Some begin by learning to read, write, and manage finances. Others train in practical trades like sewing, baking, and food production. With these skills, women are launching small businesses that sustain their families and contribute to local economies. A woman who once depended entirely on others for income can now provide for her children, reinvest in her community, and claim her rightful place as an economic contributor.

Every woman who learns how to generate income gains more than financial independence. She gains a measure of equality and the power to shape her own future and the future of those around her.
