People who donate to the charity Central Asia Institute are not just supporting education. They are supporting community development and support services that are lifting entire regions out of poverty.
The areas Central Asia Institute serves can be very undeveloped. In many cases community development projects must be completed in order ensure quality education. This was a lesson learned with the first school CAI helped complete in Korphe, Pakistan. In order to deliver the materials for the school to the land that had been donated by the community a bridge had to be built.
Community support projects include bridges, libraries, museums, and other projects that help communities achieve their educational goals. CAI’s holistic approach to community support helps ensure buy in from local elders and community leaders.
