In these pages, you’ll see the power of partnership in action: girls from remote villages returning as teachers and principals; young women launching businesses and claiming independence; students learning to read in regions where most children never do.
These outcomes happen because supporters like you believe in long-term change. By investing in local educators, schools, and women entrepreneurs, we build systems that endure. None of this would be possible without your generous support.
Below are just a few examples of the amazing accomplishments we were able to achieve last year, with your help:
- 44,742 individuals—68% girls and women—were reached across Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan through Central Asia Institute’s programs that expand access to education and opportunity.
- 29,508 students, nearly two-thirds of them girls, benefited from CAI education support programs, including scholarships, school supplies, and investments in safe, healthy learning environments via school repair and infrastructure improvements.
- More than 1,300 teachers—62% women—were supported with training, teaching materials, and salaries, strengthening the quality and sustainability of education.
- 368 women were equipped with business and skills training to launch their own businesses, increasing economic independence and household stability.
