In the climbing world, base camps are rudimentary campsites at the base of mountains that are used by mountain climbers during their ascent and descent. These areas are places of rest and safety, providing critical supplies and shelter. Similarly, CAI’s Base Camp donors provide the organization with regular, dependable monthly gifts that form the core of our support.
One of the most impactful ways to make a difference is through a monthly giving commitment. Your donation helps to strengthen and sustain the day-to-day work of CAI enabling us to both plan for the future and react in real-time to circumstances that could impede the delivery of educational opportunities for the communities we serve.

$25 pays for textbooks and school supplies for students
$50 pays for job skills and financial literacy training for women
$75 helps us to provide emergency humanitarian aid in times of crisis, conflict, and political unrest
$125 pays for a teacher’s monthly salary
$250 pays for an undergraduate student’s annual scholarship
It’s easy to join our Base Camp Society! Simply click on the button below to sign up, choose an amount that fits your budget and reflects the impact you would like to make, and your debit/credit card will be charged every month. At the end of every calendar year, you will receive a giving statement for tax purposes.
Some donors may prefer to make their gifts by electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly from their bank account. EFT payments are a convenient and efficient way of sending and receiving money electronically, without the need for physical checks, cash, or wire transfers. EFT payments can offer you faster and cheaper transactions, enhanced security and convenience, and simplified accounting and record-keeping. EFT transactions are often less expensive to process than other payment types, meaning more of each donation will go to the programs that you care about and the overall mission of Central Asia Institute.
