Janell Arneson - Development Coordinator
Janell Arneson is CAI’s Development Coordinator. She is originally from Orfordville, Wisconsin. Before coming to CAI Janellhas worked in Human Resources for three years as a Generalist, Recruiter, and Global Trainer. In 2011 she earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin Whitewater in Liberal Studies and a minor in Human Resources. She resides in beautiful Bozeman, MT.
Janell has traveled to seventeen countries and her favorite two hobbies are snowboarding and fishing.
ALANNA BROWN – Senior Program Manager
Alanna Brown - Senior Program Manager
Alanna Brown is the Pennies for Peace manager. Brown joined CAI after serving as an alumni relations officer for Montana State Alumni Association. Prior, to that she was an outreach coordinator for MSU’s Caring for Our Own program, a Native American nursing support program, and an admissions evaluator at MSU. In the past, Alanna was an AmeriCorps Vista worker, she coordinated volunteers for Greater Gallatin United Way and did crises counseling at the Help Center in Bozeman, Mont.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in family counseling and a master’s in adult and higher education/public administration from MSU. She lives in Bozeman and enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
CHRISTEL CHVILICEK, CFRE – Development Director
Christel Chvilicek - Development Director
Christel Chvilicek is CAI’s Grants and Sponsorship Manager. She is a born and raised in Bozeman, MT and has spent the last eight years working in the nonprofit sector focusing on education initiatives through the local Human Resource Development Council and YMCA. Education is a passion of hers and she wants to do her part to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to learn and grow.
Christel holds a BS in Business Management from Montana State University and a MS in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University.
She enjoys spending her time outdoors with her husband, two rambunctious boys, and two overly curious dogs.
CHRISTINE HOLLAND – Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Christine Holland - Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Christine Holland was born and raised in Southern California. Luckily, she married a Montana man and he enticed her and their three children to move to the Big Sky Country in 2003 where she fell in love with the mountains and the Montana way of life. Christine became well versed in the particulars of nonprofit organizations as the first paid employee at Intermountain Opera, in Bozeman. This experience along with over 30 years’ experience in the bookkeeping field makes her the perfect match as CAI’s Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
In her free time she likes to work on the family’s small farm in Belgrade, training and showing her Paint Horses around the country, as well raising Kiko goats and collecting eggs from the chicken coop. She also enjoys cooking, entertaining, and fly fishing at the family’s cabin on the Big Hole River.
JENNIFER PEARSON – Development Manager

JENNIFER SIPES – Operations Director
Jennifer Sipes - Operations Director
Originally from Choteau, Montana, Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Montana State University (MSU), and is now a member of the MSU Alumni Association and supporter of MSU’s Bobcat Athletics.
Prior to joining CAI, Jennifer was the Operations Manager for Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co. in Bozeman. Jennifer served six years on the board of directors of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce, including one year as the board chair, and acted as the coordinator for their Leadership Bozeman program for three years. Today she continues to participate in social causes and organizations throughout the Gallatin Valley. She lives near Belgrade, Montana with her husband, Russell Sipes.

When she’s not at work she’s most likely outside hiking, biking, skiing, running or backpacking with her Airedale terrier mix, Andy.
JAMES THADEN – Executive Director
James Thaden - Executive Director
Jim also recently volunteered as development director for the Shae Foundation in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he developed a social enterprise strategy for the foundation. He is the volunteer Vice Chair of the Fellowship Hall Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing support services for individuals and families impacted by chronic- progressive diseases.
Prior to his social enterprise work, which he calls his “second career,” Thaden was a successful entrepreneur. He was founder and CEO of Magnolia Health Services, a national provider of direct to patient delivery supplies and support services for chronic-progressive diseases. He was the President and founder of Rand McNally Media Services and Rand McNally International. Earlier in his career was vice president of operations of Chase Packaging and a founder and Executive Vice President of Graphic Packaging (NYSE). He holds a B.A. & M.A, from Gonzaga University and has participated in additional graduate programs at the University of Southern California and George Washington University.

Dustin also holds a BS in Interactive Media Design from the Art Institutes International Minnesota and an MFA in Design from the University of Minnesota.
HANNAH WHITE – Communications Director
Hannah White - Communications Director
White holds a master’s degree in Middle Eastern studies from the University of Chicago (2009), and a bachelor’s in anthropology, sociology, and archaeology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland (2007). She lives in Bozeman.
